- ¼ tsp Cinnamon powder (optional)
- ½ tsp Orange rind (optional)
2. Dry Mix

- 1 tsp Baking powder
- ½ tsp Baking soda
- ½ tsp Salt
3. Add-ins (optional)
- Crushed nuts
- Walnuts
- Cashews
- Almonds
- Chocolate chunks or chips
Method
1. Prepare Dry Mix
- Sift together brown flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
2. Soften Dried Fruits (optional for easier grinding)
- Soak dates and figs in a few tablespoons of warm milk (from the recipe’s 1 cup) for 5–10 minutes to soften.
3. Prepare Fruit Base
- Add apple, banana, carrot, soaked dates, and figs to a grinder jar or food processor. Blend into a smooth paste.
4. Blend Wet Ingredients
- Add eggs, sugar, cinnamon powder, vanilla, and orange rind (if using) to the fruit paste. Blend again until smooth.
- Pour in the remaining milk and oil, and blend until combined.
5. Combine Wet & Dry
- Pour the blended mixture into the dry mix bowl.
- Gently whisk until just combined (avoid overmixing).
6. Add Extras
- Fold in crushed nuts and/or chocolate if desired.
7. Bake
- Grease a baking pan and pour in the batter.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 40–45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Serve
- Cool slightly before slicing.
- Enjoy with ice cream, salted caramel sauce, and roasted peanuts for an indulgent dessert.
✨Tips
- Can be prepared in a food processor instead of a grinder jar for convenience.
- Soaking dried fruits in warm milk ensures a smoother blend and prevents lumps.
- For extra richness, add chocolate chips along with nuts.
