Saffron Cardamom Shrikhand

 

 

Recipe:

Ingredients 

  • 1 Cup Hung Curd
  • Pinch Salt
  • 2-3 Tbspn Thick Cream
  • Few Saffron Strands
  • ½ Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 2-3 Tablespoon Sugar ( adjust according to required sweetness)
  • 1 Tablespoon Rose Water

Directions

To Make hung curd

  • Place a strainer above a deep bowl.
  • Place cheese cloth/ muslin cloth over the strainer 
  • Add 1½-2 Cup full fat  yoghurt ( approx.) to the cheese cloth, cover and keep it in the fridge for 5-6 hours 

💕I used the water from the yoghurt to make chapati.💕

  • To hung yoghurt/Curd, add thick cream and pinch salt.
  • Grind saffron with some sugar, add in cardamom powder and rose water and mix well.
  • Add this to the curd and mix well.
Measurements and approximate and can be adjusted according to taste.
