 🌰🥜🍬Nuts Brittle🍬🥜🌰

Recipe:

Ingredients 

  • 1 Cup white sugar
  • ¼ Cup Water
  • ½ Tablespoon/ 7 grams of Butter
  • ¾ Cup Nuts

( I used sliced cashews, almond flakes, silvered pistachios, chopped almonds)

  • Saffron and rose petals for garnish ( optional)
  • Few drops of Vanilla essence
  • Pinch salt

Directions 

  • Mix the nuts, rose petals, saffron strands and a pinch of salt.
  • Grease a parchment sheet and place on a tray.
  • In a pan on medium flame add sugar and water, stir and cook till sugar is dissolved.
  • Once sugar has dissolved, stop stirring and turn the flame to low and wait for the sugar to caramelize.
  • It took me about 10-15 minutes.
  • Turn off the flame, add in butter, nuts, vanilla essence and mix.
  • Pour onto parchment sheet immediately.
  • Sprinkle a pinch salt on top( optional)
  • It will be very hot. 
  • Let it cool down completely for 1-2 hours.
  • Break them into pieces and enjoy.
The caramel gets hardened pretty quickly. Pour on parchment paper immediately, so it will be thin , soft and brittle.
Once it starts to change color, it will get caramelised pretty fast. 






Can be eaten as a candy or toppings for desserts.
