🌰🥜🍬Nuts Brittle🍬🥜🌰
Recipe:
Ingredients
- 1 Cup white sugar
- ¼ Cup Water
- ½ Tablespoon/ 7 grams of Butter
- ¾ Cup Nuts
( I used sliced cashews, almond flakes, silvered pistachios, chopped almonds)
- Saffron and rose petals for garnish ( optional)
- Few drops of Vanilla essence
- Pinch salt
Directions
- Mix the nuts, rose petals, saffron strands and a pinch of salt.
- Grease a parchment sheet and place on a tray.
- In a pan on medium flame add sugar and water, stir and cook till sugar is dissolved.
- Once sugar has dissolved, stop stirring and turn the flame to low and wait for the sugar to caramelize.
- It took me about 10-15 minutes.
- Turn off the flame, add in butter, nuts, vanilla essence and mix.
- Pour onto parchment sheet immediately.
- Sprinkle a pinch salt on top( optional)
- It will be very hot.
- Let it cool down completely for 1-2 hours.
- Break them into pieces and enjoy.
The caramel gets hardened pretty quickly. Pour on parchment paper immediately, so it will be thin , soft and brittle.
Once it starts to change color, it will get caramelised pretty fast.
