Classic Crêpes

Light, thin, and versatile, these crêpes are perfect for breakfast or dessert. Whether enjoyed simply with ghee and sugar or filled with your favorite toppings, they are easy to make and absolutely delicious!


Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 1–2 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup flour

Instructions

  1. Prepare the batter: In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil (or melted butter), and vanilla essence until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the flour, whisking continuously to form a smooth, lump-free batter. ( or add all the ingredients in a blender and blend)
  3. Rest the batter (optional): Let it sit for 10–15 minutes for better texture.
  4. Cook the crêpes:
    • Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter or oil.
    • Pour a thin layer of batter into the pan, swirling to spread evenly.
    • Cook for 1–2 minutes until the edges lift slightly, then flip and cook for another 30–60 seconds.
  5. Serve:
    • Brush with desi ghee, sprinkle sugar, and enjoy warm.
    • Optionally, serve with fruits, chocolate, or honey.

Plantain Stuffed Crêpes



Sweet Plantain Crêpes

This delicious crêpe filling made with caramelized plantains, coconut, and jaggery is packed with flavor and warmth. Wrapped inside a soft crêpe and drizzled with honey or maple syrup, it makes for a delightful breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients

For the Filling:

  • 2 plantains (big banana or cooking banana) 🍌
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or ghee
  • 1/8–1/4 cup grated coconut
  • 2–3 tbsp jaggery or brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • Nuts and raisins, for garnish

For Assembly:

  • Prepared crêpes
  • Butter (for spreading)
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Plantain Filling

  1. Cut the plantains into small pieces.
  2. Heat coconut oil or ghee in a pan and sauté the plantains until golden brown.
  3. Move the plantains to the side of the pan and add more ghee or coconut oil if needed.
  4. Add the grated coconut, jaggery (or brown sugar), cardamom powder, and salt.
  5. Mix well and cook for 1–2 minutes until everything is well combined.
  6. Garnish with nuts and raisins, then set aside.

Step 2: Assemble the Crêpes

  1. Take a warm crêpe and spread a little butter on top.
  2. Spoon the plantain filling along the center and roll it up.
  3. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup (optional).
  4. Serve warm and enjoy!

Strawberry and Cream Cheese Crêpes



Strawberry & Cream Cheese Crêpes

These delightful crêpes are filled with a creamy, fruity combination of cream cheese, strawberry jam, and fresh strawberries, then drizzled with chocolate syrup and garnished with nuts. A perfect treat for breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients

  • Prepared crêpes
  • Cream cheese
  • Strawberry jam
  • Fresh strawberry slices 🍓
  • Chocolate syrup, for drizzling
  • Chopped nuts, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Spread cream cheese on half of the crêpe.
  2. Add fresh strawberry slices over the cream cheese.
  3. Spread strawberry jam on the other half of the crêpe.
  4. Fold the crêpe in half, then fold again to form a triangle or roll it up.
  5. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle chopped nuts for garnish.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy this indulgent treat!

Nutella Banana Crêpes


Nutella Banana Crêpes

A rich and indulgent crêpe filled with Nutella, fresh banana slices, and fluffy whipped cream, then topped with honey, choco chips, and nuts—perfect for a sweet breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients

  • Prepared crêpes
  • Nutella
  • Banana slices 🍌
  • Whipped cream
  • Honey or maple syrup, for drizzling
  • Choco chips and nuts, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Spread Nutella evenly over the crêpe.
  2. Layer banana slices on top.
  3. Add a dollop of whipped cream.
  4. Roll the crêpe gently to enclose the filling.
  5. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup.
  6. Garnish with choco chips and nuts.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy this delicious treat!

These chocolatey, creamy crêpes are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser! 


Crêpes, whether sweet or savory, offer endless possibilities, making them a favorite in my kitchen. From indulgent Nutella and banana to refreshing strawberries with cream cheese, there’s a crêpe for every craving.

These are some of my personal favorites, but my elder one enjoys them the simplest way—with just butter/ghee and sugar. Sometimes, the classics are truly the best!
