Aysee Chicken

AYSEE CHICKEN

A great side dish for chappathi, Naan, Paratha, Appam, Pathiris etc. Goes well with rice also

This was one of my favourites while growing up. Now much requested dish by my kids.

Recipe:

Ingredients

To marinate and fry chicken

800g Chicken cut into small pieces
1 - 1.5 Tbspn Soy sauce
1-2 Tspn Kashmiri Chilli Powder
Salt as needed

Oil for frying(I prefer coconut oil)
Few Curry leaves

For Masala

3-4 Onions (sliced)
3 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
1-2 Tspn Ginger paste
2-3 green chillies(just slit n add)
(As I am not a fan of spicy food I used Capsicum instead of chillies)
Parsley/Coriander leaves for garnish
1-2 Tspn Soy sauce
3-4 Tbspn Tomato Ketchup

Directions

Marinate the chicken with soy sauce, chilli powder and salt and let it rest for at least 15 min.

In a heated pan add in oil. Flavour it with curry leaves, add the chicken and fry till done.
Keep the chicken aside.

In same pan add oil(if needed), add ginger, garlic, onion and green chillies and cook till onion is caramelised.

Add soy sauce and tomato ketchup and mix well.
Add in the fried chicken. Adjust the salt and add more ketchup if needed. Cook for 3-4 min. more. Turn off the flame and garnish with parsley/coriander leaves.
